Hector Duarte Jr. - All Headline News Staff ReporterLondon, England (AHN) - London’s main equities market continues to move higher in opening trade Tuesday, as the FTSE 100 is 0.1 percent higher at 5,382.1 at the start of the session, while the mid-cap FTSE 250 stays flat at 7,767.5.Meanwhile, Japan’s Nikkei 225 stock index jumps at its fastest pace in a year Tuesday, responding to extremely strong figures for machinery orders.The Nikkei 225 gains 2.5 percent to reach 13,556.71. The Topix finishes the day up 2.4 percent to 1,405.99Machinery order figures push up steel stocks, which have been performing well so far this year. The iron and steel sector increased 4.5 percent. Nippon Steel, Japan’s biggest steelmaker, gained 5 percent to close at 427 yen.The real estate sector climbs 3.9 percent. Mitsui Fudosan, the country’s biggest real estate company, rises 3.9 percent to 1,689 yen and Mitsubishi Estate, its biggest rival, climbs 4.5 percent to 1,541 yen.
